The Receipt project is composed of repurposed materials, connecting the creator's time and message by transcending the conceptual value beyond the monetary worth of the materials.

Life holds various meanings of value. Particularly in the case of objects, they are sometimes evaluated based on specific criteria, such as monetary or conceptual value. This evaluation can vary depending on the price of their produced material properties or the message contained by their users or owners. In some cases, the conceptual value embedded in an object surpasses its material value due to the memories or messages it carries. My work focuses on the meaning of the word 'value,' exploring how and where it begins and ends.

Thus, I mainly utilize discarded objects that have lost their current value and possess non- functional meanings. These materials, which lack monetary value, undergo my methodology of adding labor, time, and artistic transformation. Through this process, the conceptual value of the object as a new artistic accessory exceeds its material value. Therefore, the study of materials plays a key role in my methodology.

While researching materials, receipts became one of the primary themes in my work. Receipts are traces of monetary consumption containing detailed information such as product names, dates, and prices. They are printed in black through a thermal reaction but, over time, the ink fades, leaving only a blank piece of paper. As a result, the traces of monetary value disappear along with the black ink, and the receipt acquires a pure materiality as a blank paper, erasing the marks of consumption.

In conclusion, the craft I pursue will embody a fusion of labor, time, and artistic transformation, emphasizing the creative significance of making through my approach. As a result, craft will evolve into a medium that embodies conceptual worth. Ultimately, my aim is to explore the meaning of 'value' and communicate—through my process—that intangible, conceptual worth can surpass material worth.
